1. If I am a Foster Parent, do I have to pay for adopting my foster child?

1. If I am a Foster Parent, do I have to pay for adopting my foster child?
No, most of the time, foster parents who hire our firm need to give no money up front or at all. We can submit our bill directly to the county for payment of legal fees.

Yes. Single parent adoptions are common in NY.

3. I want to adopt my step-child. Can I?
Yes, but there are many questions to be asked and answered. Possibly. It depends on what country you adopted from, and the circumstances involved. Yes. Adoption agencies have their attorney’s, but it is a conflict of interest to also represent you. You do need your own attorney.
